Medusa in Mythology

Medusa was a Gorgon in Greek mythology, a monstrous woman with snakes for hair. Anyone who looked directly at her would turn to stone. Once a beautiful maiden, she was transformed into a monster by Athena. Medusa was eventually slain by the hero Perseus, who used her severed head as a powerful weapon.

When Perseus beheaded Medusa, from the blood that spilled onto the earth sprang two marvelous beings: the winged horse Pegasus and the warrior Chrysaor. Thus, from Medusa’s death arose new wonders, symbols of freedom and strength.

The Ouroboros in mythology

The Ouroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail. It represents eternity, the endless cycle of life, death, and rebirth. In mythology, the Ouroboros symbolizes continuous renewal and the unity of the universe, where the end is also a new beginning.
